The annual Tintin festival will kick-off Friday 8 May 2009 and end Sunday 10 May 2009. This year, the theme is Tintin’s 80th Birthday and the anniversary will be marked with the opening of the Hergé museum outside Brussels, events in Lausane (one of my favorite cities – I just love that lake!) with the major festivities in Namur, southern Belgium.
In Namur, according to the website OPT,
numerous animations events will be organised for young and old: soapbox go-kart races, exhibitions, the Namur to Louvain-la-Neuve classic-car rally and many other activities on the theme of Tintin and his adventures.
If any TintinBlog readers go to the events, or know of anyone who is going, please send photos!
