The Tintin Facebook page just released these images of an upcoming Meccano “Tintin” Toy. I have said it already, and I’ll say it again: this is bad news for Tintin fans. Is this the quality we should expect from the licensing bonanza around the movies? What about this toy even remotely resembles anything Hergé ever drew or was known for? So much for Ligne Claire.
It’s like Meccano had parts laying around for an old military Jeep and stuck a Tintin label on the front.
Meccano fans already know how to build Jeeps. Take a look at what this guy did. A little red paint, and voila!
